I have been passionate about natural health for many years. After working with children for 25 years as a child care worker and then a foster parent, I moved into the health and wellness field. I worked at an organic food home delivery company and owned my own store selling natural and organic makeup and skin care. I then worked as a receptionist for a chiropractor for several years before moving to the Sunshine Coast and joining Hummingbird Naturopathic Clinic
I have been on the Sunshine Coast for several years having moved from Langley, which is far too busy and heavily populated for me! I much prefer the more laid back and slower pace in Sechelt.
I enjoy reading, movies, and spending time with my family. I have a daughter and 4 grandchildren. They have recently moved to Osoyoos, and I am looking forward to visiting them when I can.

Naturopathic medicine is very important to me and my family. About 3 years ago I made my way back
into the working world after being a stay at home mom for 8 years. I have 4 boys (two teenagers and
two not quite teenagers) and have always tried to raise them as naturally as I could. That is why I love
working at Hummingbird Naturopathic Clinic. I get to be a part of a wonderful natural way of healing.
I have been in Sechelt for four years and really love the outdoor activities; hiking, mountain biking,
walking and swimming in oceans and lakes.

I grew up here on the Sunshine Coast, and after more than a decade in the city, couldn’t be happier to be back home. My true love is nature and all things in it. As a small child my two grandmothers would take me into the woods for hours to collect plants, which instilled in me a deep and abiding respect for the natural world and the healing power of plant medicine. I am currently studying western herbalism in my spare time, am an avid reader, a curious creature, and love to hike in the woods with my two dogs.

I first realized I had a passion for herbs and natural healing as a child growing up in Newfoundland. I later went on to study the western and eastern perspectives of herbs and healing through various mentorships with a number of herbalists and healers. I am a bodyworker and specialize in working with pregnant and postpartum women.
I have lived on the Sunshine Coast now for 4 years with my 3 daughters and have really enjoyed getting to know our coastal community more. My favourite part of working at The Hummingbird Naturopathic Clinic is chatting with all the amazing patients and putting together the herbal formulas.
